Program Details
A good way to dive more and to continue to learn under the supervision of a professional is to follow the Advanced Open Water Diver Course. This is a course that builds on what you have learned and develops new skills, so that you can dive more comfortable and confident in the future.
The conditions to fulfill in order to take part in the Advanced Open Water Diver Course you should have reach the age of 15 years and you have to be a certified Open Water Diver.
As an Open Water Diver you still miss a lot of diving experience and self-confidence to really dive autonomously. This course will give you the confidence and diving skills you need to become better in a fast, safe and efficient way.
Depending on the adventure dives you will choose, you will discover new techniques and skills that will enlarge your diving.
The Advanced Open Water Diver Course is a practical course that is subdivided in 5 modules. For each module you will have a theory lesson and a knowledge review that will be discussed after the dives.
Two of the 5 modules are mandatory. These modules are navigation and deep diving.
Good navigation techniques are essential to have the control over your dives. You will learn different ways to use your underwater compass. Your instructor will also learn you to navigate on visual reference points and time.
During the deep dive you will learn the basic of certain techniques like for instance how to deal with currents. The practical and physiological aspects of deep diving will also be discussed in this module.
The 3 other adventure dives are free to choose out of the list of specialty dives. Depending on the adventure dives you have chosen, you will learn the techniques and skills specifically needed to perform these specific adventure dives. And of course during the entire course the main point is to dive safely wherever or how deep you dive.
With the Advanced Open Water Diver certificate you will be able to dive till a depth of maximum 30 meters with a buddy.
