Program Details
What is more exciting than diving in the open sea? If you want to experience this feeling, you should take the Open Water Diver Course.
In order to follow the Open Water Diver Course you need to be minimum 10 years old, to have adequate swimming skills and of course your eager to succeed.
The content of the Open Water Diver Course covers the following topics:
– Everything you need to know about the physics of scuba diving.
– Considerations of equipment that you will use for diving.
– Planning and making a dive.
– All procedures necessary to dive safely.
– The techniques for breathing underwater.
– How to control your buoyancy.
– The signs that you will use to communicate underwater.
– When problems occur, how to deal with them or even how to prevent them.
– And above all how to enjoy your new adventures underwater.
To complete the Open Water Diver Course you will have to go through 3 phases.
The theory session will help you understand the fundamental principles of scuba diving. In the classroom you will watch a DVD with some explaining videos leading you through the 5 chapters. If you don’t want to spend time learning during your holiday you can always start the theory at home with e-learning.
During the confined water training is mostly conducted in a swimming pool or in shallow waters and you will learn the basic skills and techniques of scuba diving. Your instructor will let you repeat the skills until you feel confident and comfortable underwater.
The last part of the course are the open water dives where you will use the skills and techniques you learned and discover our wonderful Red Sea.
An exam is taken at the end of the course.
This course can be completed in 4 days.
Your Open Water Diver certificate will allow you to dive with a buddy until a maximum depth of 18 meters.
