Hurghada contains a large number of hotels to choose from. Some are luxury resorts with their own private beach and small marina while others are situated on the second line but often offer free access to the beach of a nearby frontline hotel. There are hotels of all star ratings from 5 stars to 1 star along with a number of hostels. Most of the hotels offer all inclusive packages. In addition to hotels and hostels there are very many furnished flats available for rent, either through agencies or privately advertised, that can be booked short term for as little as a single night up to a few months or long term for 6 months to a full year.
Hurghada is sunny all year round. Summers are really hot with temperatures potentially reaching 40°C+ with a mild wind. Winter temperatures can drop to a daytime low of around 22°C in January which is the coldest month. The winter winds are stronger and colder than the summer breeze but do not occur every day. However, during the winter you will need warmer clothes during the evenings so remember to bring a cardigan or a jumper with you.

You may also like to sample some of the many restaurants in this area.
